Datapipe Wins 2017 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Managed Cloud Service Provider of the Year Award

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – October 18, 2017  Datapipe, a leader in managed cloud services for the enterprise, today announced it has been awarded the 2017 Asia Pacific Managed Cloud Service Provider of the Year Award by leading market research firm Frost & Sullivan. The award was announced as part of the 2017 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards. This is the second consecutive year Datapipe has been recognized by Frost & Sullivan for its leadership in Asia Pacific and is a result of the company’s performance in the region throughout 2016.

Datapipe’s win stems from the maturity of its cloud offering and rapid growth in the Asia Pacific region compared to its competitors, as well as its diverse partner ecosystem and localized go-to-market strategies. Datapipe was acknowledged by Frost & Sullivan for leveraging its strong heritage in managed hosting capabilities to enhance its portfolio in Asia Pacific. Datapipe’s strong partner ecosystem, including partnerships with global vendors such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and VMware, was also cited in the report. Additionally, the company’s Operational Empathy® approach to customer service, through which Datapipe focuses on anticipating customer needs and working as an extension of customer IT teams, contributed to its win.

In 2016, Datapipe was named a global managed service provider partner of Alibaba Cloud. This partnership allows Datapipe customers in China to more easily expand globally and allows international customers to scale faster within the region. That same year, Datapipe was named one of just four Direct Cloud Solution Providers Hong Kong by Microsoft and was also recognized with a 2016 Asia-Pacific Stevie® Award for Innovation in Customer Service Management, Planning, and Practice. Both of these announcements represent the company’s commitment to growing its presence in Asia to better serve its customers.

“Cloud computing is increasingly global in nature, and it’s important for companies to have a truly global MSP they can trust as they scale their businesses worldwide,” said Colin Chan, Vice President and General Manager, Datapipe Asia. “Our growth in Asia Pacific over the past several years is driven by our dedication to helping customers achieve their business goals no matter where they are in the world. We’re excited to receive recognition from Frost & Sullivan that acknowledges our leadership in the region once again.”

Winners were selected through a rigorous methodology based on market performance indicators for the 2016 financial year. These metrics included revenue growth; market share in specific category and growth in market share; demonstrated leadership in new product introduction and innovation; breadth of products and solutions; major customer acquisitions; subscribers and growth in subscriber base; and business/market strategy.

“Datapipe has demonstrated impressive double-digit growth in managed cloud service revenues in Asia-Pacific,” said Yu Xuan Ng, Industry Analyst, Digital Transformation Frost & Sullivan. “The vendor has focused on enhancing the scope of its managed cloud portfolio, strengthening partner ecosystem, dedicated service delivery, and devising localized go-to-market strategies in Asia-Pacific.”

The recognition follows Datapipe’s recent inclusion in four analyst reports around the world, signifying the company’s global leadership and the value Datapipe brings to customers worldwide. The company recently was positioned as a Leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting, Europe. Datapipe was also named a Leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed Service Providers, Worldwide. Earlier in the year, Datapipe was also recognized as a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Hosted Private Cloud Services reports for both Asia Pacific and North America.

Datapipe was honored with this recognition at the 2017 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards, which was held on October 4, 2017 in Singapore.
