Customers demand security in today’s cloud landscape. A company’s infrastructure must be reliable in order to thrive—downtime, environments that aren’t backed up, and lackluster security are all unacceptable. Today, as part of our ongoing client spotlight series, we take a look at how the software house Kaldor has improved its content creation process thanks to the managed security controls of Datapipe.
Kaldor is the software house behind Pugpig, the lightest, fastest, most flexible mobile publishing platform on the market. Content owners use Pugpig to develop fully responsive and interactive content apps. To support Pugpig’s user base, Kaldor needed a partner that could help manage customers’ infrastructures as Pugpig transitioned to a cloud-based product.
However, there was one main problem: Kaldor didn’t feel that managing all aspects of AWS environments was beneficial to progressing its business. It also didn’t want to be perceived as a smaller company that didn’t have the credibility for clients concerned with cloud reliability and security. That made Datapipe the perfect partner.
After an initial exploration of managed service providers, Kaldor chose Datapipe thanks to our multiple security certifications (ISO 27001 and SSAE 16) and our access to best of breed security technologies, anti-virus, and vulnerability scanning. Kaldor’s customers require a high level of security, and with Datapipe, they now have the backing of enterprise-grade security within the cloud. Additionally, our proprietary Datapipe Access and Audit Control for the Cloud (DAACC), which provides role-based access without taking away admin-level credentials, was a critical factor. DAACC offers Kaldor a deeper level of trust and protection for its virtual infrastructure.
Kaldor can now provide its customers with AWS environments that are securely backed up and monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As a result, the company has seen an uptick in clients and also has more time to focus on products and service while Datapipe handles infrastructure management.
