Client Spotlight: Ontario Systems

Ontario Systems is a leading provider of revenue recovery software and solutions to the revenue cycle management (RCM), accounts receivable management (ARM) and government markets. Its integrated SaaS customer contact management platform, Contact Savvy™, helps companies increase connect rates, raise account rep efficiency, and gain valuable insights and analysis to help improve contact technology.

Many of Ontario Systems’ customers housed routers within the company’s data center, meaning they were paying for expensive, dedicated fiber lines to access the Contact Savvy system. To streamline this process, and effectively spin up fast and secure connectivity to multiple cloud service providers (CSPs), Ontario Systems needed to take multiple connections and route them through a single location. It turned to Datapipe for guidance with this solution.

Ontario Systems has long been a customer of ours – its hardware and IT infrastructure, cloud, security, and compliance managed services are all housed in our facilities. Contact Savvy also uses AWS to support Ontario’s real-time application services and back-end processes. To allow its large customers to have private connectivity, Ontario Systems required an optimal interconnection architecture. Due to its latency-sensitive, real-time application, though, the company had to consider the physical location – the colocation and interconnection partner needed to have ties to both Datapipe and AWS.

Enter Equinix, a long-time partner of Datapipe. Ontario Systems first deployed its network switch stack in Equinix’s Ashburn facility, which has one of the largest internet peering points in the industry. The Equinix Cloud Exchange provided virtualized, private network connectivity between Ontario Systems’ network and its cloud partners. As a result, Ontario Systems now has a higher-performing, more resilient and cost-effective network infrastructure. Its customers can take comfort knowing they have higher-quality, lower-cost VoIP services at their fingertips.
