Joel Friedman

Chief Technology & Security Officer

Joel has been a technology professional for over 18 years, including 14 years specializing in information security. Under Joel’s leadership, Datapipe has built one of the most comprehensive security offerings for multi-platform hybrid IT solutions in the managed service industry. Joel has also spearheaded efforts that led to first-of-its-kind security and product solutions including the award-winning Datapipe Access and Audit Control for the Cloud, formerly known as Datapipe Access Control Model for AWS. The New Jersey Technology Council awarded Joel the distinguished title of 2015 CSO of the Year due to his innovation and creativity in planning and deploying enterprise systems, future IT goals, management philosophy and service to the industry and community. Prior to Datapipe, Joel helped pioneer VoicePulse, a voice over IP company. He holds industry certifications with many of the leading groups including ISC, ISACA, PCI SSC, EC Council and the Cloud Security Alliance.


Daniel Newton

Chief Operating Officer

Daniel's start in technology was in consulting specializing in healthcare and has advised private and government organizations across Europe. Daniel progressed into senior management roles working for Perot Systems, leading their Technical and Applications Services team completing enterprise technology deployments across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Daniel moved to the US from the UK to lead Dell's Physician Services Technology business unit prior to joining Datapipe. Daniel holds a B.Sc.(Hons) in Biomedical Science from the University of the West of England.


Dan Tudahl

President and General Manager, Datapipe Government Solutions

Dan Tudahl has more than 25 years’ experience in the hosting, cloud, security, and Government areas and is a pioneer in the secured SaaS service delivery model. Dan co-founded New World Apps, a leader in government private cloud solutions in 1999. Prior to that, Dan held various executive positions within the IBM Corporation and technology consulting firm Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM). At PRTM, he helped lead the firm’s Information Technology practice and led major process improvement projects at AT&T, IBM, Lucent, Lotus, Seagate, Xerox and CIENA corporations.


Michael J. Parks

Chief Data Center Officer

Michael J. Parks began his career in the U.S. Coast Guard at age 17. While serving his country, Mr. Parks earned an FCC License, an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, completed flight school, piloted 3 types of helicopters and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. As part of the DEA, Parks supported Operation Bahamas Turks and Caicos, a large-scale drug interdiction effort to stop the flow of illegal drugs from entering the U.S. Michael provides strategic leadership for Datapipe's technical departments. He is responsible for maintaining Datapipe's global network infrastructure which has consistently been recognized for speed and reliability. Michael also leads Datapipe's development team in designing and improving the industry-leading features within Datapipe’s client portal.


Michael Bross

Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Michael joined Datapipe in 2007 after 16 years as Managing Partner of Bross, Cummings, Pereira & Moore, LLC. He oversees all aspects of Datapipe’s Legal Department functions, practices, and policies, and is responsible for managing and reducing legal risk, delivering legal services, developing methods to increase operational efficiency, and expanding Datapipe through strategic acquisitions. Michael received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science with dual degrees in Management Information Systems and Marketing from Syracuse University. Michael is a member of the New Jersey State, Essex County, and American Bar Associations, is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and New Jersey Chapter of the ACC, and sits on several non-profit Boards.


Richard Dolan

Senior Vice President, Marketing

Responsible for Datapipe's global marketing initiatives, Rich joined Datapipe in 2001 after four years with web design firm RareMedium where he designed and architected web presences and client facing applications for Madison Square Garden, JP Morgan, Atlantis, XM Radio, and Credit Suisse First Boston. As Datapipe’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Rich has led Datapipe to twelve Gartner Magic Quadrant recognitions across the globe including four placements in the Leaders quadrant. Rich graduated Summa Cum Laude from NYIT with a BA in Computer Graphics.


Chris Mooney

Senior Vice President, Global Sales

Chris brings to Datapipe a strong background in general management and sales, spanning a successful 20+ year career in communications, technology, and security services. He has a proven track record of driving revenue and shareholder value while leading sales organizations at companies including Sybari, Microsoft, MessageLabs, and Serena Software. Chris is responsible for developing Datapipe’s global sales strategy to increase market share utilizing both direct and channel sales models.


William Pratt

Senior Vice President, Colocation Group

William leads Datapipe’s Global Colocation Services business. He has gained a deep knowledge and understanding of the industry after serving the colocation market for over 15 years. Recognized for his experience, vision and growth strategies, he has worked for Icon CMT and Qwest Communications, where he oversaw colocation services for large enterprise companies. William is an active board member of multiple community organizations and holds a BA in Accounting from Brooklyn College of New York.


Frank Sole

Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Administration

Frank joined Datapipe after seven years with the publicly traded software company Micromuse, where he served in multiple HR roles including Vice President, Human Resources. Frank also served on the integration team after IBM’s acquisition of Micromuse in 2006 and remained with the company as Senior Human Resources Partner until joining Datapipe later that year. Frank brings almost twenty years experience in the areas of global Human Resources management, employee relations, conflict resolution, recruiting, change management and compensation and benefits. 


Colin Chan

Vice President and General Manager - Asia

Colin has more than 20 years of experience in the Asia Pacific ICT sector, including senior leadership positions with Marconi Communications and Ascom Group. He has lived and worked in Beijing and Shanghai for more than ten years, leading the strategic penetration and rapid growth of business in the China market. Colin holds a B.A.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.


Stewart Smythe

Managing Director - Europe

Before joining Datapipe to lead European service and expansion, Stewart served as the CEO of Adapt, which was acquired by Datapipe in August 2016. At Adapt, Stewart helped transform the company into a leading UK cloud managed services provider. Previously, Stewart also served on the main board as Group Strategy Director at Cable & Wireless Worldwide and as CEO of THUS. Prior to joining the sector in 2003, Stewart worked for Accenture in their finance and performance management consultancy practice and KPMG in both their audit and corporate finance departments.


Bruce Katz

Vice President, Finance

Bruce came to Datapipe with deep experience as a corporate financial executive. Prior roles include Vice President of Finance at EnterpriseDB Corporation, Senior Vice President of Finance at Foxtons North America and a number of senior financial roles at Cendant Corporation and its subsidiaries, including Move.com, as well as the corporate treasury department. Bruce also held financial leadership roles at Arthur Andersen and Merrill Lynch & Company. Bruce holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland.


Asmaa Safi

Vice President, Procurement Governance & Operations

Asmaa joins Datapipe with extensive experience as a senior leader, adviser, and change strategist in procurement with over 14 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry. Asmaa previously served as the Head of Global Procurement for ProQuest LLC driving procurement transformation and operational efficiency. Over the years, Asmaa has held a variety of leadership and operational roles involving procurement, IT supply chain, general management and finance where she has successfully built and led teams across multiple countries and disciplines. Asmaa holds a B.B.A from the University of Michigan.
