DataPipe Signs Exclusive Agreement with SWsoft; Switches From Multiple Control Panels to Plesk
Herndon, VA and Hoboken, NJ — June 9, 2004
– DataPipe Managed Hosting Services, a New Jersey-based hosting
provider, today announced an agreement to offer Plesk for Windows from
SWsoft, the established leader in hosting automation and server
virtualization software, as its exclusive control panel for its
dedicated solutions. Through the agreement, DataPipe will switch from
offering multiple control panels to only installing Plesk for Windows
to new dedicated customers.
“Control panel management is a key element of success in
the hosting business, and Plesk for Windows is the most stable and
reliable solution available,” said Robb Allen, CEO, DataPipe.
“Windows-based Web hosting is a key offering for us. We switched from
Ensim’s control panel to Plesk because it is the best product to help
our customers improve reliability and roll out new services that
significantly ramp up their revenues.”
Today, DataPipe services more than 4,500 clients and
manages more than 2,500 servers in three data centers. While many
hosting companies and ISPs have failed in the last three years,
DataPipe has had average growth of more than 50% year over year and has
been profitable for more than three years.
“DataPipe is one of the largest Windows hosting companies
in the world and we’re excited they’ve selected Plesk,” said Serguei
Beloussov, CEO, SWsoft. “More hosting service providers are exclusively
selecting Plesk to power their offerings because of its long history of
security, stability and scalability in Windows and Linux hosting
environments. Windows hosting is rapidly growing, and with the upcoming
introduction of Plesk 7 for Windows, we provide customers another
reason to switch to Plesk because of its easy interface, broad features
and native integration with Microsoft technologies.”
